FROM PROTOTYPE TO PRODUCTION

From drawing to delivered.

See how a Connectiq harness moves from a technical drawing, through a working prototype, to a tested, labelled and packed production part. The example below is a ten wire power and signal harness in 16 to 10 AWG, using Molex and TE Connectivity connectors.

STAGE 01  /  DESIGN

Technical drawing

Everything starts with your drawing or specification. We review the connector, terminal and wire choices, confirm lengths and tolerances, and issue a controlled drawing and wire schedule for approval before anything is cut.

  • Wire size, colour and length defined for every circuit
  • Connector and terminal families agreed up front
  • Revision controlled drawing with notes and title block

STAGE 02  /  PROTOTYPE

Prototype wiring assembly

A first build lets you check fit, routing and function. Wires are cut, stripped and crimped, connectors are fitted, and the harness is laid out and taped on a build board to the dimensions on the drawing.

  • Fast turnaround on evaluation samples
  • Continuity checked against the wire schedule
  • Feedback goes straight back into the drawing

STAGE 03  /  PRODUCTION

Finished, tested and packed

Production harnesses are sleeved, tied and labelled, electrically tested and packed in clear bags. Every bag carries the part number, revision, lot number and barcode labels, so each batch can be traced back to the wire and connector lots used.

  • 100% continuity and hipot testing
  • Part and lot labels with scannable barcodes
  • Repeat orders built to the same approved revision

WIRE SCHEDULE

Ten circuits, four wire sizes.

The example harness uses ten circuits from 16 to 10 AWG, split across two trunks and five branches. Every wire in the drawing, the prototype and the finished product matches this schedule.
